The suspension of prayers in mosques and mass worship would continue until the number of infections is reduced as decided by medical authorities, according to the Supreme Council for Islam Affairs (SCIA).
The Council added that people should continue to rise to the highest levels of responsibility and take the health measures seriously for the sake of their families and their country in order to overcome the pandemic.
The suspension of prayers came into action in March, as part of the kingdom’s measures to slow the spread of the coronavirus outbreak.
