Kuwait announces 300 new COVID-19 cases, one death

Kuwait has reported 300 new coronavirus cases, taking the total confirmed cases in the country to 59,204, according to the health ministry.

1 patient died of the virus in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths to 408.

Kuwait has the world’s 34th highest number of coronavirus infections just over Bolivia.

Meanwhile, 667 new recoveries have been reported in the country, raising the total recoveries to 49,687.

Kuwait has done 2,009 NP swab tests in the past 24 hours, as the country ramps up its efforts to test more people and detect cases early.

So far, the country has conducted a total of 459,349 coronavirus tests.
