His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, National Security Adviser and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, congratulated the President of the United Arab Emirates HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan on the successful launch of the UAE Hope Probe rocket.
The Emirates Mars Mission blasted off from Japan’s Tanegashima Island early on Monday morning, making history as the first Arab and Islamic space mission to explore Mars.
HH Shaikh Nasser also sent cables of congratulations to HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the United Arab Emirates, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and HH Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince, on the successful launch of the UAE Hope Probe rocket on the successful launch of the UAE Hope Probe rocket.
The great scientific achievement by the UAE is a clear affirmation of the efforts of young Emiratis within this project which is a source of pride for the UAE and for the Arab and Islamic nations, HH Shaikh Nasser said.
“We all have the right to be proud of the great progress made by the UAE in the fields of space science and these great achievements are a source of pride for Arabs and the Islamic nations. It was built by young Emiratis and it records the names of the UAE and the Arab and the Islamic nations in the history of space exploration, especially Mars through the Probe of Hope,” he said.
Despite the formidable challenges facing the world, the UAE, thanks to the interest of HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed and HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid as well as the country’s youth, potential and eagerness to follow the schedule and plan for the Probe and its launch, asserted the important reality that seriousness, dedication and the consolidation of the culture of the non-impossible are the path to success, he said.
The Probe of Hope will provide valuable information and data about Mars as well as discoveries about the planet that will pave the way for new knowledge about Mars and present it to researchers and those interested in the planet and its discovery, he added.
