The Bahrain health ministry continued conducting random COVID-19 testing, through well-equipped mobile units and well-qualified and trained medical staff, for all citizens and residents around the kingdom, as part of the measures taken by the kingdom to limit the spread of the novel coronavirus.
Dr. Taghreed Ajoor, Head of mobile units, said that the total daily tests reach nearly 2,300 with 300-400 tests conducted in each area.
She explained that these random tests aim to monitor asymptomatic cases in order to speed their recovery and limit the number of infections they might cause.
These campaigns also contribute to raising awareness by communicating with the public and answering their inquiries, and stressing the importance of adhering to the precautionary measures, such as social distancing and constant hand washing.
Dr. Ajoor pointed out that their success was the result of the continuous efforts of Team Bahrain as whole, especially the contributions of the Interior ministry and Civil Defence to protect the health and safety of everyone.
