Bahrain : The maiden visit by Pope Francis will bolster the Kingdom’s endeavours and leadership role in seeking peace, peaceful co-existence, and friendliness in the world.
“It is an important and historic visit of a Pope to the Kingdom of Bahrain, and it carries a huge significance as being a gesture of peaceful co-existence and friendliness,” Principal of Sacred Heart School, Sr. Roselyn Thomas told.
“As all activities and programmes will be focused on the youth, hence school is working on an initiative of togetherness by registering as many youths as possible from all nationalities, cultures and ethnicity, as it is the Pope’s mission to foster peace and harmony amongst the youth all over the world,” she said while talking about the preparations for Pope Francis’ visit to the Sacred Heart School.
Highlighting the salient features of the Pope’s visit, she said that the Choir would welcome the Pope with a song, followed by a Prayer Song for Peace in the World.
“There would be a dance highlighting the culture of Bahrain. There will be youth sharing their testimonies. The youth will also be presenting their invocations. The highlight of the day will be His Holiness speaking to the Youth and answering their questions. The meeting will close with a song on Justice and Peace.”
Youth are the backbone of a community as they are the promising dreamers possessing incredible potential that could be transformed into a tangible accomplishment, she said.
“We expect that this meeting with His Holiness would bring hope within them by illuminating their outlook towards the world,” she said as she highlighted the youth meeting.
“The school staff, students, and everyone, are really excited to meet the Pope. They are aware of the honour that has been bestowed upon our school. We, being the ones to have such a distinguished personality in our midst even if it’s for a little while, are immensely grateful to God for this great opportunity.”
