Manama : The first edition of a workshop titled “Legal Identity: Border Security and Safe Mobility” kicked off today in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) is holding the event in cooperation with the International Organization for Migration and Naif Arab University for Security Sciences.
Arab officials and leading experts are taking part in the workshop, along with representatives organizations to discuss regional and international coordination to achieve common goals, facilitate safe and orderly migration, and enhance the exchange of information in the field of building migration policies based on evidence and data.
Interior Ministry Undersecretary for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa opened the workshop, welcoming the participants.
He stressed the importance of the workshop which aims to provide recommendations and desired solutions, looking forward to continued pan-Arab cooperation.
The workshop, which comes within the framework of the initiative to establish the Arab Center for Technical Cooperation in Migration and Border Management in Riyadh.
It aims to enhance cooperation between the countries organizations, support capabilities, exchange experiences, and devote appropriate best practices to the various challenges facing the region in the field of migration and related issues.
