    Bahrain participates in ADSW

    Abu Dhabi : Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) Chairman Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed, Oil and Environment Minister, Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Bin Daina, and Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Yasser bin Ibrahim Humaidan participated in government delegation in the opening ceremony of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW).

    The event was inaugurated under the patronage of United Arab Emirates President His Highness Shaikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

    EWA chairman praised UAE’s efforts in organizing this global event to discuss development mechanisms and unify efforts towards ensuring a secure future and developing climate neutrality.

    He stressed the Kingdom’s interest in the future of energy, resource development, and sustainability.

    The chairman highlighted Bahrain’s aim to preserve its environmental future and global treaties.

    Minister Humaidan stressed ADSW’s keenness towards international solidarity and achieve the United Nations (UN) sustainable development goals.

    He noted the ministry’s strategies to achieve the Kingdom’s goal of zero carbon neutrality by 2060.
