Kuwait on Sunday confirmed 12 new coronavirus cases during the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 188, said the Health Ministry. The ministry’s spokesperson Dr. Abdullah Al Sanad told a media conference included four patients (two Kuwaitis and two Pilipino residents) who were in close contact with persons who had traveled to the UK and one who was in contact with a patient who has recently arrived from Egypt.
The sixth case is related to a Kuwaiti citizen who recently arrived from Brazil, he added. Further details about the other cases will be announced later, he said, explaining news about them reached the authorities a short time before the conference. Earlier today, Health Minister Shaikh Dr. Basil Al Sabah announced the recovery of three coronavirus cases – two Kuwaiti nationals, a male and a female, and a Spanish resident, bringing the number of cases that recovered in the country to 30.
