Abu Dhabi: The Razin Camel Beauty Pageant of the 15th Al Dhafrah Festival will start on Thursday morning in Razin, Al Wathba, Abu Dhabi. Seoul: Former President Chun Doo-hwan, a general-turned-strongman died Tuesday at the age of 90. Chun died at his home in western Seoul around 8:40 a.m. after battling blood cancer and chronic ailments, aides said. His body will be taken to Seoul’s Severance Hospital, said Min Jeong-ki, a former presidential secretary. Amman: The total number of tourists who visited Jordan in the January-October period rose to 1,807,225, about 59.7 percent, compared to the same period of last year, when the number was 1,131,682, according to the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities’ monthly data. The figures showed a 59.8 percent increase in the number of overnight tourists, totaling 1,552,545 during the January-October period, compared to the same period of 2020 that registered 971,795 visitors, Jordan News Agency (Petra) reported. Manama: Terrorist elements who have launched plans and preparations for terrorist operations targeting security and civil peace have been arrested, the and Forensic Science has announced. Weapons and explosives from Iran were seized with the elements associated with terrorist groups in Iran, the directorate general said.
