A 48-year-old male, Hussein Ahmed Issa Barakat, has died this morning at Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC), following infection with COVID-19. The serving inmate was being treated at SMC under the supervision and care of the Ministry of Health. His condition required his placement on a respirator in recent days. A review of the deceased’s medical records has confirmed that he was vaccinated in February and March this year. Pfizer says it is expanding testing of its COVID-19 vaccine in children younger than 12. After a first-step study in a small number of young children to test different doses, Pfizer is ready to enroll about 4,500 young volunteers at more than 90 sites in the U.S., Finland, Poland and Spain. Ghotki: A collision between two passenger express trains in southern Pakistan killed at least 30 people on Monday, and the death toll was likely to rise as rescuers were still trying to access several mangled coaches, a police official told media.
