Piyush Srivastava, Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Bahrain has arrived at Bahrain International Airport on Tuesday. His arrival was delayed for weeks due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Oman will allow trucks weighing three tonnes and above to pass through checkpoints from one governorate to another without the use of a 24-hour transit permit. Movement between within the same governorate is permitted during the lockdown period (from 7 pm until 6 am) for water tanks and cooking gas trucks. OCCI warned that truck drivers must adhere to the precautionary procedures and should not visit any facilities during transit. The Kingdom’s ministries, directorates and official institutions will be closed from July 30 to August 2, including Arafat Day and Eid’s first, second and third days. The circular added, as Friday and Saturday, the official weekend in the Kingdom, fall within the holidays, Monday August 3 and Tuesday August 4 are given in lieu.

Director of Traffic Operations and Control, Col. Adel Al Dossairi reported 1511 violations in residential areas in June, along with wrong parking of 44 vehicles and motorcycles that risk the safety of people. A total of 47 stunt driving incidents also reported.
