Bahrain has reported 444 new cases of coronavirus, among 291 expatriate workers, 144 new cases are contacts of active cases, and 9 are travel-related, after conducting over 6,000 additional COVID-19 tests. Oman has registered 7 death and 1,117 daily cases of coronavirus, taking the total cases to 21,071. The death toll reached 96 after reporting the new death. The Lower Criminal Court fined today three defendants BD 1000 each for violating preemptive health procedures to combat the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and prevent its spread. It also fined another defendant BD 1000 for breaking health regulations for commercial outlets. New York City will donate $3 million dollars to assist “mom and pop” restaurants and small businesses impacted by the coronavirus pandemic, Mayor Bill de Blasio announced during the city’s daily news conference. The funds will be part of the city’s “Restaurant Revitalization Program” which will provide grants up to $30,000 to 100 selected restaurants. UAE has announced 479 cases, and 2 fatalities from coronavirus in the past 24 hours, taking the total cases in the country to 40,986, according to the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP).
