Bahrain has reported 59 new COVID-19 cases, among 42 expatriate workers and 17 contacts of active cases, this takes today’s total cases to 327. These newly registered cases bring up the total cases in the kingdom to 9,692 and there are 4,525 active cases of which 10 are critical and the rest stable, according to the Ministry of Health. UAE announced 883 new COVID-19 cases, taking the total cases in the country to 31,969, according to the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP). MoHAP also announced the death of 2 more people from COVID-19, rising the country’s death toll to 255. 389 new recoveries have been reported in the UAE, bringing the total recoveries to 16,371, according to the health ministry. Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) said that 5,570 passengers arrived in Bahrain while 2,964 left abroad. The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, MOCCAE, has recorded a notable drop in the concentration of major air pollutants due to the transportation restrictions that have been imposed to counter the spread of COVID-19.
