Bahrain has reported 76 new COVID-19 cases, of which 45 are among expatriate workers, 30 were a contact of an active case, and 1 was travel-related, this takes today’s total cases to 240. These newly registered cases bring up the total cases in the kingdom to 8,414 and there are 4,306 active cases of which 7 are critical and the rest stable, according to the Ministry of Health.  There are currently 30 COVID-19 cases receiving treatment. All the travelers coming to the United Kingdom, from June 8th onwards have to self-isolate for 14 days. This was announced by the British Home Secretary Priti Patel on Friday. “The new arrivals will be required to provide their address and contact details should authorities need to trace them and that the quarantine was mandatory,” she added. “There will be penalties for those who break these mandatory measures.”

Saudi Arabia saw a steep increase in the daily number of coronavirus cases with 2,642 new infections reported during the past 24 hours, raising the total to 67,719, according to the health ministry. There were 2,963 recoveries on Thursday, taking the overall number of recovered cases to 39,003, according to the MOH. The first repatriation flight from Bahrain to Thiruvananthapuram flew from the Bahrain International Airport, as a part of the Vande Bharat Mission to evacuate Indians from foreign countries. The flight will land at Trivandrum International Airport.
