The Ministry of Health (MOH) on Wednesday has registered 58 new coronavirus (COVID-19) active cases, of which 50 are expatriate workers, 7 are contacts of active cases and 1 was repatriated by the ICRP, taking the total active cases to 1,491. Bahrain has so far tested over 124,591 people. MOH pointed out 60 new recoveries from the virus, taking the total recoveries to 1,370 with 8 deaths.

Students and teachers who live in UAE areas without an Internet connection will now have access to high-speed satellite broadband services, the Ministry of Education said.  Al Yah Satellite Communications Company (Yahsat) will be providing this, Remote users will be having access to online libraries, educational applications and collaborative platforms. Yahsat’s services will be free of charge. Spain reported 325 deaths from the coronavirus, up from 301 reported the previous day, the Health Ministry said. The total death toll from the coronavirus rose by 453 to 24,275, it said, adding that some of the additional cases were from the previous days. The number of diagnosed cases rose by 2,144 from Tuesday to 212,917, the Ministry said.

The Oman Ministry of Health announced today the registration of 143 new coronavirus cases. 42 of the new cases are Omanis and 101 other cases are expatriates.
