The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, FAHR, on Sunday declared a five-hour work day for civil servants during the Holy Month of Ramadan, which is expected to start on April 24th. In a circular, FAHR announced that work hours for all ministries and federal entities will start from 09:00 to 14:00, with the “exception of those whose job nature demands working extra hours.” FAHR also called on all federal ministries and agencies to follow the provisions issued by the authority in relation to remote work during emergencies.

Posting or spreading fake and misdirecting health information can now give you a fine of  Dh20,000, the UAE Government announced on Saturday. The UAE Cabinet has taken on a conclusion, prohibiting the spread of unapproved health information. “It is strictly prohibited for anyone to publish, re-publish, or circulate false, misleading, misrepresented, unofficially published or unapproved health information or guidelines by the Ministry or the health regulators. using any media, social media or method of publication or circulation,” the UAE government tweeted. The Omani Health Ministry Saturday confirmed 111 new coronavirus cases, bringing the country’s total infections to 1,180 and six deaths. The latest patients are 33 Omanis and 78 foreigners, the ministry added in an update without giving a breakdown. The total recoveries from the highly infectious ailment have reached 176, the ministry added, according to the Omani news agency ONA.
