The Ministry of Education gave the green light, allowing all teachers to work from home as from Sunday, corresponding to the 5th April 2020. The measure followed the directives of the Executive Committee, chaired by  His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier. The Ministry of Health has announced that 353 of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases with a history of travel to countries with high infection rates, 68% were detected among travellers returning from Iran.
