A businessman and a lawyer have been sentenced to three months in jail for violating the mandatory home quarantine which was imposed to combat the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). The Lower Criminal Court ordered the first defendant to stay under house arrest and the second to be deported after serving the jail term said Advocate General Adnan Al-Wadai. The Directorate of Public Health said that a specialized doctor took samples from the defendants who arrived from an infected country and told them to observe a mandatory 14-day mandatory home quarantine in compliance with the precautionary measures.
