Ethiopian President Sahle-Work Zewde has granted pardon to more than 4,000 prisoners in efforts to contain the spread of coronavirus in the country. Sahle-Work Zewde announced the order in a tweet on Wednesday and said it would help prevent overcrowding in prisons. Nearly three dozen people who attended a recent children’s event at a church in Arkansas have tested positive for the coronavirus, according to church officials. Donald Shipp, a deacon at First Assembly of God church in Greers Ferry, about 75 miles north of Little Rock, told the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette that 34 people who attended the event in early March at the Cleburne County church had tested positive for the coronavirus and that an unknown number of others were awaiting test results. Mylab becomes the first Indian company to have received the validation for its Covid-19 diagnostic test kits. In the current lab-based testing it takes four hours for test results to come out, Mylab’s turn around time is 2 1/2 hours, said Dr. Gautam Wankhde, Medical Director Mylab to ET. The Ministry of Health has today announced the death of a 78-year-old male Bahraini national, a registered active case of Coronavirus (COVID-19) who was suffering from underlying and chronic health problems. The deceased male, who had contracted the virus after being in contact with another active COVID-19 case, was placed in isolation and received extensive 24-hour treatment from a specialized medical team. The Ministry highlighted that, excluding one case, all other active COVID-19 cases remain stable and all patients continue to receive treatment from a specialized medical team following guidelines provided by the WHO.
