Bahrain MPs approved a proposal to give government employees working at the frontline of combatting the Covid-19 “hazard pay”. The proposal entitles all medical, security and support government employees to receive the extra allowances calculated on basic pay from February until the Covid-19 crisis is over. Saudi Arabia confirms its first death as a result of the coronavirus outbreak after a patient died on Monday, the health ministry announced on a press conference, adding that the total number of infections in the Kingdom reached 767 cases so far. A third person has died from Coronavirus Disease – Covid 19. The 65-year-old Bahraini man had chronic health conditions, said the Health Ministry. He was the first one to have received intensive care, said reports. A Bahraini woman, 51 years, with underlying chronic health conditions, who was brought back to the country from Iran earlier this month died on Sunday. A 65-year-old Bahraini woman died last Monday, also had chronic health conditions. She contracted the virus while in Iran.
