Six new active cases and one more critical have been registered in Bahrain. This brings the total number of Covid-19 cases to 149 – including 64 active cases and 85 cases under the International Covid-19 Repatriation Programme. Of the active cases, 62 are stable and 2 are critical, according to latest statistics on the Health Ministry’s website. This comes as Bahrain recorded its first from the Covid-19 infection this morning.

Gulf Air has temporarily suspend flights to and from several destinations across its network effective from 03:00 Bahrain time on Wednesday 18 March until Tuesday 31 March 2020. According to Health Ministry’ website dedicated to Covid-19, there are 58 active cases (six cases added) and 85 cases (one additional) from among those under the ministry’s International Covid-19 Repatriation Programme (ICRP). The update followed the ministry’s announcement of the first Covid-19 death in the country – a 65-year-old woman with chronic health conditions. A total of 77 people have recovered from the virus infection and left the treatment facilities, till date, as announced earlier.

The Ministry of Health has announced the death of a 65-year-old female Bahraini national who was suffering from underlying and chronic health problems, and was registered as an active case of Coronavirus (COVID-19). Manama: The Ministry of Health has announced that 17 individuals have recovered from the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the Kingdom of Bahrain, bringing the total number of confirmed recoveries to 77.The recovered individuals, seven male and eight female Bahraini nationals, one male Saudi national, and one male Lebanese national, have been discharged from the isolation centre after responding positively to medical care provided by a specialised medical team, conforming with measures outlined by the World Health Organization (WHO). Germany will initiate border controls at borders with France, Austria, Switzerland and Benelux countries (Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg), German Interior Minister Horst Seehofer announced at a Sunday press conference. The Civil Aviation Affairs (CAA) has announced a reduction in the number of incoming flights to the Kingdom of Bahrain until further notice, effective 03:00 on Wednesday, 18 March 2020.
