Head of the World Health Organisation yesterday commended Bahrain’s efforts to contain the coronavirus. This came when His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, held a telephone call with WHO director general Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, has temporarily suspended flights to and from Kuwait International Airport effective from midnight of Friday 13 March 2020 until further notice.  Gulf Air highlighted that the remaining flights to and from Kuwait are limited to Kuwaiti citizens and their first degree relatives as well as domestic workers accompanying them; non-Kuwaitis are prohibited from entering Kuwait through Kuwait International Airport on flights arriving on 12 and 13 March.
