The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Waleed Khalifa Al Manea, confirmed that the first batch of citizens repatriated from Iran had undergone all protocol and procedures as per plan. Of 165 individuals, 77 positive cases were transferred to isolation and treatment centers, and the remaining 88 were taken to precautionary quarantine centers.
Based on the evaluation of the results of the first stage of evacuation, and in light of the high count of positive cases amongst the citizens who were brought back from Iran, the Ministry of Health will activate additional precautionary measures within the existing plan. The evacuation schedule will be based on precautionary measures that guarantee the health of all citizens, residents, and the families of the returning citizens.
