The spread of coronavirus has hit the Gulf badly. Therefore, a lot of expatriates are facing troubles in their daily life, as some of them lost their jobs, receive less salary, unable to pay their flat rent, loan or their children’s school fees, etc.
But, Bahrain’s Government remains committed to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on all the sectors and proactively implemented the stimulus package to help locals and foreign investors, citizens and residents to cope during this challenging situation.

The Government has not just exempted electricity, Municipality and water bills, Labour fee for citizens, residents, business communities for 3 months but also offered Tamkeen’s business continuity support without any partiality of race and creed.
The humanitarian services offered by the Capital Governorate Governor HE Sh. Hisham bin Abdul Rahman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa is greatly appreciated by the locals and the expat’s community in Bahrain.
This philanthropical campaign is managed by Mr. Yusuf Lori, Head of Strategic Planning Directorate at Capital Governorate, he ensured that thousands of food kits were distributed among the citizens, residents and NGOs and associations of different countries in the Kingdom without any prejudice this also demonstrated his humanity and his dedication to the nation.
Along with Mr. Yusuf Lori, One Bahrain GM Mr. Anthony Poulose also join hands for this charitable services.
During this pandemic situation even family, friends and nationals have avoided the expats back home, however, Bahrain Government not just given them shelter, food, health treatment, love and care, but also stood as life saver for the expat community. This is the testimony of generosity, compassion, and humanity of the ruling family.
No wonder Bahrain is known as the number one destination to live and work in the world.
This gesture was touched thousands of hearts. Expats mentioned they will never forget this support and expressed their sincere gratitude towards the Bahrain Government, His Excellency Sh. Hisham bin Abdul Rahman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Mr. Yusuf Lori and Capital Governorate team.
Bahrain currently has the lowest confirmed cases of coronavirus in the GCC.
