‘Glee’ actress and singer Naya Rivera is missing after taking a boat ride with her 4-year-old son on Lake Piru in Southern California, officials confirmed.
The actress rented the boat on Wednesday at 1 pm at Lake Piru, north-west of Los Angeles, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department says.
A search was immediately initiated with the use of helicopters, divers, and drones for the 33-year-old.
Officials said that Rivera’s son was wearing a life vest while she was not.
Rivera shared a photo of her and her son with the caption, “just the two of us,” on Twitter.

Her son was discovered alone in the boat by another boater. Her son told the authorities that his mother went into the water for a swim, but never came back up.
Authorities reportedly believe Rivera to be dead.
Rivera received her breakthrough role as an adult as Santana Lopez on the Fox television series Glee from 2009 to 2015, for which she received nominations for numerous accolades.
