The first relief aid consignment which was dispatched this morning to the brotherly Lebanese followed directives from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, said Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) Secretary General Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayyed.
HM the King had assigned the foundation undertake the operation, under the direct supervision of HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa to extend the lifeline to the brotherly Lebanese people to help in their ordeal and alleviate their suffering in the aftermath of the massive blast which rocked the capital Beirut.

Dr. Al-Sayyed made the statement to Bahrain News Agency (BNA) before his departure among a relief delegation to the Republic of Lebanon, where they will assess the real effective needs on the ground before dispatching the other consignments.
“The first relief aid consignment consists of medical and first aid supplies respiratory ventilators”, he said, adding the delegation includes youth who will visit the blast-hit areas, assess the needs and deliver relief and support to pain-stricken Lebanese people.
He underlined that Bahrain’s efforts to deliver relief aid, pursuant to the directives of HM the King, reflect the Kingdom’s deep-rooted humanitarian values and pivotal regional and international role.
