Director-General of Capital Governorate Police announced on Sunday legal steps against a couple for holding a wedding ceremony at a hall in Sitra with the attendance of a number of invitees in a violation of precautionary measures against coronavirus, including the decision to close celebration halls and the ban of gatherings of more than 5 persons.

He said that after receiving information about the case, the directorate took the required proceedings against the gathering for the safety of the participants.
Legal steps were also taken against the manager of the hall and the father of the bride and the case was referred to the Public Prosecution.
