Former Indian President Pranab Mukherjee on Monday has tested positive for COVID-19.
He announced it on Twitter, asking everyone who came in contact with him in the last week to self-isolate and to get tested for novel coronavirus.
Minutes after the former President tweeted the bad news, thousands wished him for a speedy recovery.

Several top Indian politicians have been infected with the virus recently, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa and Congress leader Siddaramaiah.
India has registered over 2 million COVID-19 cases and 44,000 deaths.
