The Lion of Bahrain Ali Yaqoob is rising to the big leagues of mixed martial arts. He is ready to turn professional and will make his official debut on the largest Arab card to ever take place in the world, BRAVE CF 48: Arabian Night this March 18th at the Kingdom of Bahrain. Yaqoob will take on Ramyar Luqman in one of the 14 bouts scheduled for the historic show. The multi-decorated mixed martial artist has garnered various accolades throughout his venture into the amateur circuit, with multiple medals in the European Championship, World Championship, and Asian Championship.
Ali Yaqoob had an extensive amateur career with 11 wins and six loses since his start in 2017. He is part of the number one amateur MMA team in the world, KHK MMA, and has bouts in both the Featherweight and Bantamweight divisions. The Lion of Bahrain’s first-ever professional fight will be a Featherweight bout against Kurdistan’s West Asia Sandu Champion Ramyar Luqman with a professional record of 1-0. He came in on less than a week’s notice after Luqman’s initial opponent, Elias Nedir, was forced to withdraw from the fight. This is not Yaqoob’s fight time fighting in the BRAVE cage. He fought at the first installment of Kombat Kingdom at the Kingdom of Bahrain last September at BRAVE CF 42 against Ariz Ahmed from India and won with a unanimous decision, in an amateur bout.
BRAVE CF 48: Arabian Night on March 18 is a sought out event for Arab mixed martial artists due to being the most notable fight card in the MENA region. It will feature the biggest and best fighters from the region coming together under one roof. The event will take place at Arad Fort, Arad in the Kingdom of Bahrain and will be broadcast on BRAVE CF TV, as well as locally on Bahrain Sports TV.
