Bahrain’s Health Minister Faeqa bint Saeed Al Saleh on Monday welcomed World Health Organisation (WHO) Director General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus to Bahrain – his ‘second home’.
She emphasised that the visit comes as a continuation of co-ordination between the kingdom and the World Health Organisation, especially on efforts to combat COVID-19.
“I would like to welcome our guest Dr. Tedros in his ‘second home’. This visit comes as part of the ongoing coordination between the Kingdom of Bahrain and WHO, and this visit will also constitute a major boost for the joint coordination between the Kingdom and the WHO especially with regard to coordinating efforts to combat COVID-19 virus and efforts to achieve the desired goals,” said Faeqa bint Saeed Al Saleh.
