Bahrain : Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) First Deputy Chairman, Head of the General Sports Authority (GSA) and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on the success of Bahraini athlete, Kalkidan Gezahegne, in winning the silver medal of the women’s 10,000m race in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
He also extended congratulations to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister and to HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa expressed pride at the landmark achievement which, he said, reflects HM the King’s care for the sports community in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
He also praised the keen interest and follow-up of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, lauding the unremitting efforts exerted by HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
