    Bahrain always places trust in its youth, says Shura Secretary-General

    Bahrain :  Secretary-General of the Shura Council, Chancellor Osama Ahmed Al-Asfoor, said that Bahrain always places its trust its youth competencies, who have always proven their ability to manage various challenges and push the innovation and modernisation process forward.

    He stressed that Bahraini youth should continue their efforts to acquire administrative expertise, and to integrate them with scientific and training experiences in order to promote national outcomes and initiatives, whether in the field of government work or the private sector, in a way that contributes to achieving the forecast national aspirations and managing the development process in the Kingdom.

    Al-Asfoor made the statements while meeting remotely with the affiliates of the third intake of the ‘Hipo Youth’ advanced leadership programme, held between August 1 and September 8, organised by the Bahrain Institute of Public Administration (BIPA) and the Youth and Sports Affairs Ministry, in cooperation with INJAZ Bahrain, JAFCON and the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF).

    The Shura Council Secretary-General added that all officials and leaders in the public and private sectors are required to ensure the highest level of performance, as well as to transfer their administrative expertise and successful performance practices to young people, stressing the need to qualify youth so that they can advance national outcomes and enhance the development process, while being innovative and creative so as to keep pace with national aspirations and visions.

    BIPA Director-General, Dr. Raed Mohammed bin Shams, said that the “HIPO Youth” programme has become an administrative think-tank, through which BIPA and its partners seek to qualify young cadres and develop their skills so as to prepare them to assume the administrative work system, according to the best practices, administrative expertise and scientific methods.

    He pointed out that the programme will contribute to creating a conscious generation capable of developing and implementing forward-looking management strategies that keep pace with the development aspirations of the Kingdom.

    He added that the programme will not only develop young people and provide them with professional and academic experiences, but also make them experience creating actual initiatives that would serve the youth sector in the Kingdom, through their own projects that require them to use the expertise and experiences they have gained, as well innovation and creativity mechanisms to come up with national outputs that keep pace with national ambitions and aspirations.

    He affirmed that the projects that meet the necessary requirements by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs will be adopted.
