Bahrain : Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) opened the door for relatives of BDF and National Guard affiliates and retirees (military and civilian) to enrol in the Reserve Army (second batch).
In a statement issued today, the General Command urged applicants to register via link https://www.bdf.bh, which is available on the BDF website, using the special e-form
Eligible applicants have to be Bahraini nationals, aged 18 to 55, but the the upper age limit does not apply to technicians, specialists or other duty requirements.
Applicants who are required to be of good conduct, should not have been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor prejudicial to honor or honesty.
They should also be medically fit for military service in the reserve force, and successfully pass the medical examination established in accordance with the system of BDF military medical committees.
The BDF General Commander said that contributing to the protection of the homeland and maintaining its security, stability and territorial integrity is a sacred national duty and honor for citizens.
The Reserve Force Law promulgated by Decree No. (5) of 1987, and the regulations and instructions issued pursuant thereto, regulate all rights and duties of the Reserve Force, being a BDF auxiliary force, , as well as guarantee the benefits and entitlements that result from that.
“In the first stage, the door to volunteering will be opened to citizens (males) only from the relatives of members of the Bahrain Defense Force, the National Guard (military, civilians and retirees”, said the General Command.
As for the second phase, an announcement will be made to open the door to volunteering for the rest of society (males and females), upon completion of the first stage.
