This coming week, from September 29 to October 3, 2021 – the spicy and full-bodied flavours Sri Lanka’s cuisine will fill Lulu Hypermarkets along with a basket of selected goodies from the Emerald Isle of the Indian Ocean – tea, spices, seafood, fruits and veg, rice and a variety of coconut products.
The Festival will be inaugurated tomorrow by Srilankan Ambassador to Bahrain, H.E. Pradeepa Saram.
The festival promotion will give shoppers a chance to stock up on top-quality spices that Sri Lanka is famed for: cloves, pepper, cinnamon and all packaged for hygiene, aroma and convenience. There will also be a variety of tea and tea-based herbal infusions with turmeric, chamomile and other herbs and amazing teas from signature plantations around Sri Lanka.
Many varieties of healthful organic coconut products such as coconut cream, coconut milk and virgin, cold-pressed coconut oil will be on the special deals section while the vegetable racks will be bursting with the goodness, colour and juicy flavours of Sri Lankan farm produce, nutrition-packed Lankan red rice and exotic seafood.
In addition, customers can get up to 30% discount in the form of supermarket vouchers on Sri Lankan grocery products, fish, fruits and veg when they spend BD 4 or above on purchases at the Fest. There will also be cookery demonstrations by well-known Sri Lankan professional chefs and cultural dance shows to give shoppers an immersive experience of Sri Lanka.
