Bahrain : The Cowboys Committee in Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (Breef) has recently announced the schedule of various programmes that will be organised in the new season 2021/2022.
The schedule will include several programmes and activities that are dedicated to cowboys in the Kingdom, including the first cowboys’ tournament on December 17, 2021, “Al Kashta” annual activity, which takes place on January 1, the Bahraini Arab Dress competition on February 12, 2022, and the second cowboys’ tournament, which will be the concluding activity.
On the occasion, Breef affirmed its keenness to organise diverse programmes, in line with the directives of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, and Honorary President of Breef, as well as the care provided by His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, President of Breef, to expand the organised equestrian-related events and activities.
Fans of cowboys’ sports will be on a date with many activities, including curbing with the bridle, which demonstrates absolute control of the horse, and for the jockey to be the one who controls the horse and displays his skills.
This also includes the cowboy skills competition, as well as “Al Kashta” activity that will be held at Bahrain International Endurance Village and will include a trip in the village, touring the horses, in addition to barbecue and dinner activities, besides a horse-riding activity in Bahraini attire.
