Bahrain : Middle East’s largest jewellery and watch exhibition opened on Tuesday under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The 29th edition of this prestigious annual world class exhibition runs until November 20.
The five-day show remains a key attraction for lovers of classic and contemporary designs and craftsmanship of jewellery and visitors from Bahrain and other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries have this year access to a wide range of finished jewellery, timepieces, precious gems, clocks, fine writing instruments, luxury accessories and more from around the globe.
Renowned watch and jewellery houses are taking part at Jewellery Arabia 2021, including Asia Jewellers, Bahrain Jewellery Centre, Roberto Coin, Al Hashimi Pearls, Devji and many others.
These high-profile international exhibitors use the event as a platform to showcase exclusive collections and limited-edition pieces to the Middle East buyers’ market.
The 29th edition of Jewellery Arabia also sees a 25% surge in the participation of new brands, amongst them Arnold & Son, Samer Halimeh, Gorgoglione, and Aida Bergsen.
Complementing these brands, Jewellery Arabia also offers an enriched experience to its shoppers with a variety of activities.
In partnership with Bahrain Institute for Pearls and Gemstones (Danat), a pearl shucking experience, set up in the main entrance, provides the opportunity for shoppers to try their luck at opening oysters in search for the most beautiful natural pearl, mirroring Bahrain’s traditional pearl diving heritage.
In Hall 1’s main aisle, illustrator Spandana Bandari (a.k.a. Artsydoodler) welcomes visitors to her customisation station throughout the event to decorate their jewellery gift box.
For the first time, Jewellery Arabia shoppers will get the chance to add their personal touch to their purchase – the result of a collaboration with ThePopUpShop.co, a homegrown concept promoting local talents.
In a true reflection of jewellery as a form of art, visitors will be able to discover a unique art exhibition curated by local artist Maha Al Sahhaf, the personality behind ThePopUpShop.co.
Located in Hall 2, the journey ‘Honestly Speaking’ inspired by female forms and celebrating femininity gathers the work of five local and international artists including Zayn Qahtani (Bahrain), Mays Al Moosawi (Oman), Spandana Bandari (Bahrain), Steben Alexander (Canada) and curator Maha Al Sahhaf herself.
Moreover, to facilitate navigation around the event and find specific brands, visitors can download the Jewellery Arabia mobile application from Apple and Google Play stores.
