Bahrain : HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, has posted an image on his Instagram account story, including a message to teachers.
In the image, HH Shaikh Nasser commented on a message he had received from a teacher regarding the exams of his sons, by saying “This is whom I call the ‘real teacher’”.
In his message to HH Shaikh Nasser, the teacher wrote:
“Dear parents.. Your children’s exams will start soon, and I know they are all really keen to do well in them. Please remember that among the students who will sit for exams there is an artist who does not need to understand mathematics, and a businessman who does not care about history or the English language and literature. There is also a musician whose chemistry marks don’t not mean anything to them, and an athlete whose physical fitness is more important than physics. If your child gets the highest marks, it will be wonderful!”
“However, if he or she fails to do so, do not make them lose their self-confidence, self-esteem and dignity. Tell them that they are fine, and that it is no more than an exam and that they will be tested for much bigger things in life. Assure them that no matter what they score in the exams, you will always love them and that you will not judge them by their marks. Please do this, and when you do that, watch your children conquer the world. If they score high, it will be great, but if they don’t, you have to support their dreams and talent. Please, do not think that doctors and engineers are the only happy persons in the world…with my best wishes for success,” the teacher added in his message to HH Shaikh Nasser.
