Abu Dhabi : Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, has extended congratulations to the Emirati leadership and people on the 50th National Day of the United Arab Emirates.
HH Shaikh Nasser said that the UAE has attained landmark achievements over the past five decades since its establishment by its founder, the late Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan, until its current leadership, represented by President, HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Vice-President, Prime Minister and Dubai Ruler, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, and Dubai Crown Prince, HH Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum.
HH Shaikh Nasser lauded the success of the “Victorious” team in winning the National Day Heritage Rowing Boat Race, 40-foot class, organised by the Emirates Heritage Club, marking the UAE’s Golden Jubilee.
HH Shaikh Nasser said that heritage sports have earned the kingdom multiple achievements at the regional level thanks to the unwavering support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the constant follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
HH Shaikh Nasser also commended the efforts exerted by the Heritage Sports Committee, led by Khalifa bin Abdulla Al-Qaud, to develop heritage sports in order to achieve the ultimate goal of preserving the authentic Bahraini identity and consolidating the national heritage among the new generations.
