Bahrain : His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oil and Gas Holding Company (Nogaholding) His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa visited Bahraini gas company (Banagas).
HH Shaikh Nasser affirmed the continuation of efforts to develop the energy sector and place national companies in the ranks of international companies in this field, especially that energy sector in Bahrain receives the attention of His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oil and Gas Holding Company (Nogaholding) His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifaand the government headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
He toured the third gas plant project that was inaugurated by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister in 2019. It has a production capacity of 350 million cubic feet of gas per day to extract 374 thousand metric tonnes annually from LPG liquids. It is part of the company’s expansion and modernization plans in the oil and gas sector and is considered the largest industrial projects of Banagas.
Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad was briefed on the company’s achievements obtained in safety, occupational health, environment, quality, production and social responsibility.
It won several awards from international organisations and the latest was the “Best Country Award” in International Safety Awards 2021 from the British Safety Council in the UK among 32 winning companies and outperforming 391 of the largest participating international companies.
Along with other awards and certifications from international organisations such as the British Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents in the UK, the National Safety Council in the US and the American Gas Association (AGA).
