Bahrain : Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani and his Saudi counterpart His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud held a press conference on the sidelines of the official visit of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Dr. Al Zayani expressed his pride in the solid brotherly relations that bind the two brotherly countries, the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
He lauded the the bonds of kinship, religion, common history, one destiny, and mutual interests that unite their two brotherly people, under the leadership and directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifaand Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
He noted that His Majesty the King has held a formal discussion session with HRH the Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
He said that His Majesty affirmed that the Bahraini-Saudi relations truly set a model of the distinguished fraternal ties that are based on strong foundations of brotherhood, interdependence, cooperation, understanding, and joint coordination on all issues.
He added that His Majesty expressed his pride in the honorable historic stances that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia always takes towards the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people, and what it continuously offers to support Bahrain at various levels, in reflection of the deep-rooted relations of the two kingdoms.
He also underscored that His Majesty the King also commended the efforts and good endeavors of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to develop the process of joint Gulf action and deepen cohesion, cooperation, and integration.
He also noted that His Majesty praised the remarkable role played by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz in the development and progress in Saudi Arabia and his relentless pursuit of further development and progress for the benefit of the Kingdom and its brotherly people.
Dr Al Zayani said that HM the King and HRH Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud the Saudi Crown Prince have also discussed the latest developments in the region and the overall regional and international developments.
They also discussed several issues of concern to the two brotherly countries, where they stressed their united positions and common destiny.
He added that the Saudi-Bahraini Joint Coordination Council held its second meeting under the chairmanship of their Royal Highnesses, the Crown Princes, in an atmosphere of brotherhood, understanding, and mutual trust.
He affirmed the depth of the strong brotherly relations between the two brotherly countries and peoples, and their keenness and mutual interest in developing prospects for bilateral cooperation to achieve the common interests of the two brotherly countries and peoples.
He added that their Royal Highnesses discussed areas of strengthening and expanding joint cooperation in various political, military, security, economic, commercial, investment, industrial, energy and infrastructure fields.
He underlined that their Royal Highnesses expressed their happiness with the outstanding results of the meetings of the Council’s sub-committees, expressing that they are looking forward to the 42nd Gulf summit to be held in Riyadh next week, under the chairmanship of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and for its fruitful outcomes, to strengthen Gulf solidarity and achieve more cooperation and integration.
He added that their Royal Highnesses approved the recommendations and initiatives submitted by the relevant committees and directed the heads of the committees to implement them and approved the timeline for the council’s work for the years 2022-2023 and to hold the third meeting of the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
HH Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud stressed the importance of the visit of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
He hailed the depth of relations, as well as cohesion and coordination and unity of destiny between the two brotherly Kingdoms.
He noted that the talks between the two leaderships reflected determination to strengthen these bonds and enhance the level of coordination in all fields, especially in the economic, development, investment, and political aspects, to achieve the aspirations of the two brotherly countries and peoples.
