    King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence holds meeting

    Bahrain : The Board of Trustees of the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence held its first periodic meeting for this year under the chairmanship of Dr. Shaikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa. The online meeting convened in the presence of the board’s Deputy Chairpersons, members and Secretary General.

    At the outset of the meeting, Dr. Shaikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa extended most sincere congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Prime Minister, on the 25th anniversary of the National Guard, which is observed on January 7, and Bahrain Diplomatic Day, which is observed on January 14.

    Dr. Shaikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa welcomed Abdulwahab bin Yousef Al Hawaj and congratulated him on the royal trust in appointing him as Deputy Chairman of the centre’s Board of Trustees. He also congratulated Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa on the royal trust appointing him as the centre’s Secretary General. He expressed the centre’s keenness on bringing about further accomplishments regarding the kingdom’s efforts to foster tolerance and peaceful coexistence globally.

    The meeting shed light on issues on its agenda and took the necessary decisions regarding them. It also reviewed last year’s achievements as well as proposed programmes and projects.
