Bahrain : The Nasser bin Hamad International Open Championship for Hunting with Falcons (Jeerat category) will open tomorrow, Tuesday.
Falconers from Bahrain and other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member countries will take part in the competition, scheduled to kick-off at the Bahrain International Endurance Village.
The championship, which runs until Thursday, is part of the eighth edition of the Nasser Season for Falcons and Hunting.
The annual competition is organised by the Bahrain Traditional Sports Committee (Mawrooth), which is an offshoot of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS).
Committee member Mohammed bin Ayedh Al Adhba Al Merri stressed the importance of the championship, which is one of the strongest in the Arabian Gulf region.
