Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, who is in the Romanian capital Bucharest to facilitate the evacuation of Indians stranded in Ukraine, said roughly 1,500 citizens are left in Ukraine and talks are on with Russian authorities to facilitate their safe passage.
Scindia said, “Roughly 1,500 students are left in Ukraine. The process is on. The Romanian authorities have assisted our students, our people. Talks are ongoing with Russian authorities to safely move remaining citizens to border areas,” he said.
