Bahrain and Egypt have signed 10 agreements, memoranda of understanding and joint executive programs in the fields of economy, science and technology, law and justice, logistics, urban development, trade and investment, in addition to tourism, education, and the environment.
The deals were signed during a ceremony held at Al Sakhir Place, in the presence of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
These agreements, memoranda of understanding and joint executive programs aim to enhance the solid bilateral cooperation between the two brotherly countries, and support relations in a number of strategic areas.
The agreements include a deal establishing Bahraini-Egyptian governmental committee for economic, scientific and technological cooperation, a legal and judicial cooperation protocol, a memorandum of understanding in the field of export development, in addition to a memorandum of understanding in the field of organizing exhibitions.
Two executive programs in the fields of education and environmental protection (2022-2024), an agreement of friendship and cooperation between the Capital Governorate in the Kingdom of Bahrain and Cairo Governorate in the Arab Republic of Egypt, and a non-binding terms and conditions sheet were signed between the Sovereign Fund for Investment and Development in the Republic of Egypt Arabia and Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Egypt has also been granted the right of sovereignty over the information of its subscribers in the existing cloud computing centers in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The status of an official partner for sea-air freight services granted to Egypt has also been activated.
