Bahrain : President of the Supreme Council of Health (SCH) and Bahrain Diabetes Society President Lieutenant-General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa presented insulin pumps to a number of children in Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC), Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Hospital and King Hamad University Hospital (KHUH).
The pumps were donated by Good Word society, Kaaf Humanitarian and STC.
The president praised the role of governmental and private institutions in supporting humanitarian and charitable works and supporting government efforts in providing support and assistance to patients.
He stressed the importance of cooperation and support for the Bahrain Diabetes Society, so that it fulfils its role through its programs that aim to care for all diabetic patients and particularly provide insulin pumps for children.
Shaikh Mohammed expressed his appreciation for the government and private hospitals’ role in providing the best health services to all patients.
Public Health Assistant Undersecretary and Bahrain Diabetes Society Vice President Dr. Mariam Al Hajri expressed her appreciation to the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) under the patronage of Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and the follow-up of the RHF Secretary General Dr. Mustafa Al Sayed o provide pumps for orphans and type 1 diabetics.
