Manama, Nov. 12 (BNA): Bahrain International AirShow (BIAS 2022) celebrated a decade of distinction with the participation of over 180 companies and more than 30 countries.
Throughout the three-day event, the Airshow featured improved business, networking, growth, and information-sharing opportunities.
The exhibition hall was a huge success with diverse participants from over 160 delegations showcasing their latest aviation technologies and services.
At the exhibition hall, Lockheed Martin, took a large entrance-front display to showcase the F-16 Block 70 “Fighting Falcon” that is owned by the Royal Bahraini Air Force (RBAF).
Lockheed Martin is a global security and aerospace company that employs approximately 114,000 people worldwide and is principally engaged in the research, design, development, manufacture, integration and sustainment of advanced technology systems, products and services.
Lockheed Martin has participated in the last four editions of Bahrain international Airshow (BIAS), and cooperation has grown ever since.
“We have four business lines; Aeronautics, Missiles and Fire Control (MFC), Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS), and Space. However, We concentrate on missile defense for this particular region because customers are currently inquiring about these crucial capabilities,” Director for Middle East Business Development at Lockheed Martin Jared Thomas said.
“We also participated in the 4th Manama Air Power Symposium (MAPS 2022) that was held earlier this week. Demonstrating how excited we are to be part of these international events held in Bahrain.”
Israeli-based companies participated in the Airshow for the first time with a variety of aviation, space technology, and defense industry organizations.
Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) manufactures military and civilian aerial and astronautic systems.
“Our participation confirms the Bahrain-Israel strong relations, making Bahrain feel like a second home to us,” Israel Aerospace Industry’s (IAI) VP for the MENA region Sharon Biton said.
“It’s very important to understand that IAI is not just another defense company, and we are more than just a business corporation. IAI carefully analyzes challenges with its customers and provides non-identical and unique solutions.”
BIAS has grown to be an international attraction for trade, business and investment from various regional and foreign industrialized countries, with the hope that BIAS next edition in 2024 will bring further success and prosperity.
