Manama : The Indian School Mega Fair and Food Festival 2022 will be held at the school campus in Isa Town on November 23, 24 and 25, 2022.
Grand Finale of the school youth festival Tarang will be held at 6pm on Wednesday, Nov.23 in the school grounds. Musical programmes led by South Indian playback singers Siddharth Menon, Mridula Varier and team will be held at 6pm on Thursday, Nov. 24.
The team includes singers Sachin Warrier, Vishnu Siva, Avani and Abdul Samad. Bollywood singer Bhoomi Trivedi and team will entertain the crowd at 6pm on Friday, Nov. 25. The school has come up with a wide range of programmes to ensure the success of the Mega Fair of which Star Vision is the event partner.
Visitors get a chance of winning various prizes based on the entry tickets. First prize winner will get Mitsubishi ASX car and second prize winner will get MG5 both cars are from the ISB Mega fair presenter Zayani Motors.
An elaborate organizing committee has been formed for the success of the fair. The 501-member committee comprises parents, teachers, and social workers. The organizing committee, with business leader Shanavas PK as general convener and Mohammed Malim as patron and Vipin PM as coordinator consists of the school executive committee representatives and community leaders from various walks of life. Separate committees have been formed under the leadership of parents and teachers who will work together for the success of the fair.
Around 12000 students from different nationalities are studying in the Indian School. The school fair is mainly organized to help the needy students as well as for staff welfare. As a community school, the ISB believes that it is the responsibility of the school to help the needy students to continue their education. Around 1000 deserving students are getting fee concessions through the funds generated from the fair every year. After a gap of three years, the school is getting good response for stall booking in the fair.
The school fair will be accompanied by a food festival and various stalls offering Indian cuisine. Trophies and certificates for youth festival winners will be distributed at the Grand Finale on November 23.
As part of the fair, the students’ art exhibition will be a new experience for the visitors. Parking facilities will be arranged at the national stadium near the Indian School. Shuttle bus service will be available to the stadium from the school campus on fair days. The school football ground will have entertainment and related stalls while food stalls and other commercial stalls will be arranged at the athletic ground. There will be various entertainment programmes and game stalls for children will be in the Jashanmal auditorium. The mega fair food stalls will offer an opportunity to experience the culinary diversity from different states of India. ISB Mega Fair will be a carnival for families to enjoy entertainment activities. The fair and its premises will be under CCTV surveillance and security cover. The school has got necessary permissions to conduct the fair from the concerned ministries.
It is quite unfortunate to see that some people with vested interests are always spreading misleading information against the Indian School Bahrain. The school requests the parent community members not to be carried away by such rumors. The Indian School is trying to raise funds to support the needy students and requests all parents to extend their support wholeheartedly for the school in this noble mission on humanitarian grounds.
