Manama : Interior Minister, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, presented today the Prince Salman bin Hamad Medal for Medical Merit to officials in appreciation for the contributions of the Interior Ministry affiliates in combating COVID-19.
The handing of the merit comes per the order of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to all concerned authorities to present the merit to medical teams, Bahrain Defence Force, Interior Ministry and other backup organisations.
The Interior Minister expressed pride and appreciation for granting the merit to the ministry affiliates, reflecting HM the King’s interest in citizens’ contributions and welfare. He highlighted that HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s leadership of the Bahrain National Team and the distinguished government approach in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic had won international appreciation. He noted the sincere national effort to tackle the issue to ensure top security and community services.
The Interior Minister congratulated the honorees, hailing the outstanding services provided by the ministry personnel through a one-team spirit. He directed to keep pace with modern technology in all service sectors to develop procedures and performance. He wished them all the best in serving the nation.
