Dubai : The Housing and Urban Planning Ministry’s new housing finance programme won the Best Innovative Programme Award for year 2023, which is granted by the Middle East Economic Digest (MEED) in the Middle East and North Africa region.
This award recognizes the ministry’s efforts, in collaboration with Eskan Bank, to provide innovative housing solutions and programmes.
The Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, Amena bint Ahmed Al Romaihi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Eskan Bank, said the launch of the finance programme last year in August, was in line with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister to provide innovative housing solutions for citizens.
The minister added that the programme was able to accommodate a large number of applications in a short period of time, which is a promising indicator of further success in the partnership with the private sector.
Al Romaihi indicated that winning this important regional award is a culmination of the efforts of the government, represented by the Housing and Urban Planning Ministry and the Eskan Bank.
She expressed her pride in this achievement, pointing out that the award will be a source of motivation to develop make more innovative programs that benefit citizens.
