Malacañang has lifted the State of National Emergency in Mindanao.
“Now Therefore, I, Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution and existing law, do hereby lift the state of national emergency on account of lawless violence in the Mindanao, effective immediately”? President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. enshrined in Proclamation 298 dated July 25,
It can be remembered that former president Rodrigo Duterte declared the State of National Emergency in Mindanao on September 4, 2016 because of the violence committed by private armed groups, local war lords, criminal syndicates, bandits and terrorist groups including the religious extremists throughout the region.
The military and government programs have had successful law enforcement operations to promote lasting peace in the region.
So now the state of national emergency has been lifted because the situation in the entire region of Mindanao has improved when it comes to the issue of terrorism.
